Chaired by Robert Haydock, CEO of AML Oceanographic, ACETECH’s board of directors brings together a group of experienced leaders who are committed to supporting the growth of the tech industry in BC by helping CEOs lead better, grow faster, and get connected. Together they validate the strategic direction of the organization and ensure that ACETECH holds true to its mission.
CEO, Claris Healthcare Inc.
Geof has 30+ years’ experience in the medical device field. He was part of the Vancouver-based team that built and tested the world’s first robot specifically designed to assist in surgery. He has served as director of the Medical Device Development Centre for 22+ years and holds 16 US patents for medical technologies.
Geof, then went on to develop a number of other medical technologies, including surgical tools for laparoscopic surgery, surgical limb positioning, blood sample handling equipment, apparatus for total knee arthroplasty and surgical drapes.
In 1997, Geof co-founded Neoteric Technology Ltd. Neoteric developed and commercialized technologies for ensuring the correct storage, tracking, handling and administration of blood for transfusion in hospitals. This technology, BloodTrack®, is now in daily use in hospitals in the UK, Canada, US, Australia and the EU.
In 2009, Neoteric Technology Ltd. was sold to Haemonetics Corporation of Braintree Massachusetts (NYSE:HAE). Geof left Haemonetics in 2011 to co-found Claris Healthcare Inc. Claris provides Claris Companion, a communications hub that engages seniors in Internet communication and promotes aging in place.
Geof is also an active technology business mentor through the BCIC mentorship program and AceTech Growth Strategy Program, serves on the AceTech board and a number of private boards, and is a program advisor for BCIT.
In 2012, Geof was awarded the Encana Principal Award by the Manning Innovation Awards Foundation, Canada’s highest award for industrial innovation, in recognition of his development of the BloodTrack transfusion system.
President, Christie Consulting Inc.
David has broad and deep experience in the development and commercialization of technology. David works with early-stage and emerging technology entrepreneurs to help them create and execute sustainable business strategies that expand their business.
As President, CEO and Director of a publicly-traded technology company, he more than doubled revenue in two years, expanded their asset base four fold and increased cash flow 12-fold.
Early in his career David was Sales Manager of the Year for three consecutive years at Baxter Corporation. David has worked for numerous Fortune 500 companies but since 2000 has dedicated himself to local early-stage technology companies. David’s strengths are in implementing strategic change, delivering financial results and effectively commercializing technology. David has run a couple of companies in the life sciences industry and began his career in information technology sales.
CEO, one45 Software
Brian joined one45 in 2003 and was one of the company’s first software developers. He became CEO in January 2011, and attended his first ACETECH event a few months later. Through ACETECH, he’s met close friends and learned a lot. He’s an enthusiastic member and is extremely proud to serve on the board.
One45 is working at being a global force in medical education technology. At medical education industry conferences, you’ll see Brian’s staff not only at their booth, but taking detailed notes at conference sessions. These notes are presented back to the entire company. We’re continually learning about trends and new research in medical education – so that we can serve you as your program changes.

Independent Director, ACETECH
John has enjoyed 30+ years in the Vancouver high tech industry starting out in engineering and moving through technical consulting, sales, channel management, international business development and most recently in COO and CEO roles.
With companies like Nexus, Epic Data, Dynapro/Rockwell, NICE Systems (Israel), Infowave, Marqui, SXIP Identity and Tri-M Technologies, John has learned significant lessons through both success and failure. Growing companies through go-to-market execution is a passion and a strength.
Outside of work, John considers his Christian faith, his family (married with 3 young adults), his friends & community, along with physical activities (extreme conditioning, ball hockey, cycling and competitive bowling) as life priorities.
John is the past-Chair and a Director of ACETECH, a Director with A Rocha Canada, and the Chair of the Port Coquitlam Community Foundation. Another passion is mentoring and today he journeys with 9 CEO’s (one-on-one) and ~40 CEO’s (via ACETECH roundtables).
VP Global Sales & Marketing, ResponseTek
Peter co-founded and served as CEO of RewardStream (TSX: REW), an award-winning loyalty & referral marketing platform that has been deployed for top brands around the globe. He currently serves as Vice President, Global Sales & Marketing for ResponseTek, a global leader in Customer Experience Management (CEM) technology with offices on four continents.
Peter relocated to Vancouver in the mid-1990s after working with Bain & Company on management consulting engagements in North America, Australia, and Hong Kong.
In his spare time, Peter loves spending time with his wife and two active boys traveling, biking, surfing, and paddle-boarding.
Peter holds a degree in Economics from University of Western Ontario and an Honours Business Administration (HBA) degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business.
Founder, Function Point Productivity Software Inc.
As the Founder and Chief Client Advocate of Function Point, Chris wants to create the world’s leading digital tools for managing the day to day hassle of running a professional service firm. Chris’ focus is on creating a place, team and culture where the best creators, communicators and collaborators can grow.
Chris has an extensive understanding of the operation, management and workflow processes of Design studios, Advertising agencies and Architectural firms, with experience assisting thousands of firms in standardizing their business of design.
Chris holds a bachelor degree in commerce with major in service industries.

Robert is passionate about culture and institutionalized leadership as unbeatable strategic differentiators. He implements and advocates for the Rockefeller Habits, One Page (Strategic) Plan, ACETECH’s Growth Strategy Program, and Gazelles Growth Methodology. He believes in mutual accountability and open communication.
With extensive sales & marketing expertise, domain experience in B2B software and instrumentation (commercial and scientific), Robert is globally focused. He is also trilingual (English, Spanish, French) with work experience in North America, Europe and Latin America.
Vice President and General Manager, Vecima Networks
Lindsay is experienced in growth companies, and has taken companies through a growth phase and a subsequent company sale. Most recently he took Contigo Systems, Inc, a provider of fleet management services through 60% growth in 3 years and an exit to a publicly-held Canadian company.
Previously, he took a division of a publicly held company, NII Norsat International, from $3½ million to $35M over a period of 5 years, and sold it to a privately owned Canadian company.
He is an executive leader that drives sales growth without sacrificing profitability.
Lindsay is an accomplished leader and market-focused executive with progressive experience in management of companies which market hardware, software, and services to a variety of vertical markets. He has a proven track record of growing companies through creation and execution of business plans. As CEO of a software company, successfully led company to first full year of profitability, acquisition of companies accretive to the bottom line, and successful exit to a public company.
His specialties include: Expertise in corporate strategy, product marketing, business case development, and the tactical execution of business plans
